Spotify prepara un rivale di HomePod

Spotify sarebbe pronta alla produzione del suo primo device musicale: forse uno smart speaker, da lanciare sul mercato in alternativa a HomePod di Apple. Spotify would be ready to produce its first musical device: perhaps a smart speaker, to be launched on the market as an alternative to Apple's HomePod. The smart speaker market becomes more crowded day by day and, in the future, even Spotify web player could enter this sector. This is what we learn from a job post published by the streaming giant, ready to suggest the design of a musical device for the home. And, considering how for the streaming platform the music is obviously at the center, the main competitor could be the newborn Apple HomePod. Among the ideal candidates, also experts in distribution, logistics and customer service, a request that suggests how the company is ready to act great for its future device, also strong of its very high pool of subscribers. As already mentioned, it is very likely that the terminal in question is a speaker, focusing more on the quality of music reproduction and on the services of voice assistance. In this sense, direct rivals would not be Amazon Echo and Google Home, two products not directly oriented to the listening experience, but Apple's HomePod. The Cupertino smart speaker is natively compatible only with Apple Music, the bitten apple streaming platform, although audio streams from Spotify can still be played thanks to the AirPlay functions. As Tim Cook mentioned a few weeks ago, Apple does not fear the competition on the front of the smart speakers, both because it is confident of the union between Apple's hardware and software, and because perhaps not an overly top scope for the company. Who knows, however, that such a perspective can not change in the future, with the appearance of the mysterious product of Spotify in stores.
